About this piece
MADSEN & SCHUBELL for NIELAUS & JEKI, Denmark — model M68
A pair of original Danish swivel lounge chairs, each with its own matching footstool. The M68 has a tall, tapering shell that wraps around you, a deep seat, and a tilt and swivel mechanism, so it turns easily and leans back with you. Every surface is button-tufted in soft black upholstery, which gives the chairs a rich, quilted texture and keeps them comfortable for long hours of reading or relaxing.
Both chairs and both footstools stand on brushed steel five-star bases, crisp against the black. It's a strong, sculptural design that works as a matching pair in a living room or study, or as two statement chairs in different rooms.
Chairs: W 82 cm × H 97 cm. Seat height 40 cm.
Footstools: W 60 cm × D 50 cm × H 36 cm.
