A moulded edge sits above a shallow frieze with a continuous bead-and-reel (pearling) ornament. The bases stand on three square-section, tapered legs of attenuated proportion.
The pair retains its original grey-blue painted surface, with natural attrition revealing the pale ground beneath. The finish reads as a uniform silvery grisaille, with a mature, natural patina.
