About this piece
Pair of 19th Century French Upholstered Benches
A beautiful pair of 19th-century French upholstered benches, sourced in Avignon by Robyn McKendry.
Elegant in their simplicity, each bench features a finely carved and painted timber frame with slender turned legs and delicate decorative detailing. The softly aged finish and natural patina give the pair the unmistakable character and quiet beauty of antique French furniture.
Generously proportioned and upholstered in a wonderfully understated neutral textile, these benches are exceptionally versatile. Their long, low form would sit beautifully at the end of a bed, beneath a window, in an entrance hall or as additional seating within a living space.
Offered as a pair, they are rare and wonderfully decorative pieces that bring warmth, texture and a sense of history to an interior.
