One Tree Hill Pottery is the name given by Beechworth potters Judy and Ric Pierce to their range of thrown and constructed tableware, which they have been producing since 1981. Judy trained in visual arts with a post graduate diploma from Monash University. Ric trained in engineering. They specialise in fine white stoneware and porcelain clays, making a wide range of domestic wares in bright colours and glaze over glaze decoration. For many years their work was available through the Potters Gallery, Beechworth, which they also managed. In around 2011, the gallery was closed and later replaced by Beechworth Designer Gifts in the same location; however, Judy and Ric still make pottery at their Beechworth studio. Their early work is impressed 'One Tree Hill Pottery Beechworth' and they also used an impressed six-petalled flower, either alone or with the pottery mark. Another stamp that says 'One Tree Hill Pottery'. A later stamp is impressed 'One Tree Hill Pottery Australia' and 'RjP' in a medallion' and there is also an incised 'OTH' mark. (Australian Potters Marks).
