Made in Sweden Period: 1970s
Designers: Takashi Okamura and Erik Marquardsen
Manufacturer: Nelo
The designers of this slick rotating armchair named it 'Move'. I like to call it the Countach, because of its resemblance to the famous Lamborghini. Interestingly they both were designed at similar times in the early 70s and heralded future 80s aesthetics. Plus using a Piemontese word to describe your product is a great idea (Fnestra).
Designers Takashi and Erik formed O&M Design, blending Japanese and Danish approaches for a range of Scandinavian clients in the 1970s.
This armchair is one of their best known designs. It has a beautiful supple glove like leather that embraces the occupant.
Condition In excellent condition. Some very minor ware on the arms. The foam has been replaced and the leather conditioned.
