The ever glamorous, iconic 1960 Lido armchair, in original condition. 


In the Pagodaline series, the harsh geometric steel frame (Powdercoated black) is softened with the additional Kauri-wood arms. Coil strapped base with cloth cover. Feet portray the late 50s button style.


As usual, Featherston minimised the support for the arms to enhance the illusion of floating off the frame.


Grant Festherston once said ‘a chair… should reflect the central organic theme of its existence. It must resolve the scultpturistic potential of its constituent materials, the seating demands of the human body and the psychological requirements’.


Everyone deserves a Featherston in their possession.
