Johnson Brothers was a British tableware manufacturer and exporter that was noted for its early introduction of "semi-porcelain" tableware. It was among the most successful Staffordshire potteries which produced tableware.
This oval bowl is in the ‘Rose Chintz’ pattern. The well known Johnson Brothers pottery made the Rose Chintz pattern from 1930 – 2011. Rose Chintz features a large rose surrounded by smaller flowers and rose buds, against an egg white background on swirling shapes.
