Hornsea Pottery ‘Saffron’ Spice Set with Wooden Stand by John Clappison

Hornsea ‘Saffron’ was a popular range from Hornsea designed by John Clappison. Introduced three years after Heirloom, in 1970, it had the perfect colourway for the decade of orange and dusky brown. Look carefully at the design and you will see it is made up of a myriad of tiny daisies. 

This set comprises 6 spice jars with wooden lids which fit onto a wooden stand. The stand is marked Allspice, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Nutmeg and Peppercorns. The jars are all in good condition with no chips or cracks, and the wooden lids and stand are in good condition.
