Hornsea Pottery ‘Saffron’ designed large flour canister by John Clappison

Hornsea ‘Saffron’ was a popular range from Hornsea designed by John Clappison. Introduced three years after Heirloom, in 1970, it had the perfect colourway for the decade of orange and dusky brown. Look carefully at the design and you will see it is made up of a myriad of tiny daisies. 

This flour canister presents beautifully and has no chips or cracks. The wooden lid is in good condition. This particular canister stands at 20cm tall.
