Several items appear unused, retaining original paper labels. The decanter and ice bucket exhibit signs of light, occasional use with no structural faults, chips, or bruises to the crystal. The ice bucket shows minor, age-appropriate oxidation to the metalware components.RANGE NOTES Introduced in 1977, the 'Helena' range is a classic of Scandinavian modernism designed by Gunnar Cyrén, who served as Orrefors’ Head of Design. The series exemplifies Cyrén's ability to fuse architectural geometric silhouettes with complex, fluid internal structures. Each piece is defined by its distinct optical twist, achieved by master glassblowers rotating the molten crystal within specialized molds to form precise, diagonal sweeping lines.The range achieved high critical praise upon its release; Helena Dahlbäck Lutteman, the renowned chief curator at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, lauded the Helena champagne glass as "absolutely superb, the lightness and ease are unsurpassed." Examples of Cyrén's Helena designs for Orrefors are preserved in major international institutional collections, including the permanent design collection of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
