Rarely available in Australia, a suite of 6 vintage, original BO63 dining chairs in beech and leather, designed in 1953 by Danish architect Finn Juhl (1912-1989). Made by Bovirke, Denmark. The model was used by Finn Juhl in the house he designed for himself in Copenhagen, Denmark - see attached image.

'A characteristic of the chairs designed by the master of organic modernist design, Finn Juhl, is the valorization not only of the refined organic contours, but also – and perhaps just as important – of the spaces in between the different elements of the chair’s construction. Juhl’s design is characterized by an original and unmistakable artistic touch. For Juhl the mantra “form follows function” was not enough. On the contrary, the understanding of furniture as being closely related to the experimental idioms of fine arts was important to him' - Dansk Møbelkunst.
