A rare and highly collectable Fentoro mid-century armchair, showcasing the relaxed, sculptural style of 1970s Australian design.
Crafted with solid timber frame (Tasmanian Blackwood), this chair feature the signature floating suspension system with buckled leather straps, supporting generously cushioned seats and backs upholstered in Nylex “Deerhide” — a glove-soft leather-look material designed for both comfort and durability.
The deep-buttoned cushions, wide armrests, and low, lounge-style profile create a perfect balance of structure and softness, making this chair as comfortable as they are visually striking.
Their design closely resembles the work of Brazilian designer Jean Gillon, with a similar emphasis on natural materials, exposed structure, and relaxed living.

• Leather strap suspension shows some fading consistent with age and one strap has been put back in upside down see photos. Doesn’t effect use.
• Upholstery is in good vintage condition with light wear
