This lovely spoon back gent’s chair was crafted in England c.1860.
Warm and enveloping, this comfortable chair features a beautifully carved solid walnut frame. It has castors for ease of movement.
The button detailing in the back of the chair is wonderful, and the burnished orange velvet upholstery is likely original. The tapestry seat upholstery would have been a later addition but matches beautifully. The chair may need some re-upholstery work as the arms are quite worn and the seat may need further support. The chair is priced accordingly to allow for this.
