Beautiful Australian mid-century sideboard, believed to have been manufactured by Elite Furniture during the 1960s–70s. Featuring the clean lines, recessed timber pulls and tapered legs that have made genuine mid-century furniture so sought after, this is a timeless piece that works just as well in a contemporary home as it does in a vintage-inspired space.
This piece has been carefully refurbished with the aim of preserving its original character rather than over-restoring it. The timber has been cleaned, nourished and revived, with minor age-related imperfections blended where possible while retaining the authentic patina that collectors appreciate. Nothing has been altered unnecessarily, allowing the sideboard to remain true to its original design.
Offering generous storage with four drawers and three cupboards, it’s ideal as a buffet, media unit, drinks cabinet or statement piece.
Condition
Overall, the sideboard presents beautifully for its age. In the interest of complete transparency, there are two small veneer repairs, both clearly shown in the final two photos. These have been blended to minimise their appearance.
There is also black line in the top cutlery drawer where the velvet is it has been immaculately cleaned and is in great condition but but a small mark remains that is maybe 10 to 15 cm long.
