Details

Daydream was a brand for lighting part of Lemar Industries. Under the heading of Lemar the company also made some other products, most notably ice buckets. The company was established at Goulburn Street in Sydney. It sold its lamps mostly through department and electrical stores.

Daydream lamps often had shades and other parts in anodized aluminium which seemed to be a strong feature of its designs.

This lamp was made in the 1950s in a lovely soft rose gold colour and features two gooseneck light shades. There are two push buttons to the base which activate the lights so that each bulb can be used separately. Each light shade is a conical shape and has atomic shaped outs. The original Daydream label is affixed to the base.

It is a rare and highly collectable piece and is in excellent condition.

The light is fitted with bayonet light fittings.
