Details
An antique basket, typical from the area of Bresse in the East of France (called panier Bressan) circa 1900's. These baskets were used to carry a hen, chicks or occasionally a rabbit from the poultry market, hence they needed to close. The basket was hand woven with wicker, and closed with metal fasteners and leather straps.
