Brand-new Low HAY Rey Bar Stools (65cm seat height) in Grape Red, purchased from Cult Design in May and still waiting to be collected from Cult.
A reluctant sale due to changed circumstances.
The Rey is a genuine design icon, originally created by Swiss designer Bruno Rey in 1971 and reissued by HAY in collaboration with Dietiker. Its beautifully simple, sculptural form and distinctive rounded legs have made it one of the most recognisable pieces of Swiss furniture design.
The Grape Red is particularly fabulous — a rich, deep red that makes these much more of a statement than the usual neutral bar stool, while the clean shape means they work beautifully in both contemporary and mid-century interiors.
These have never been used, sat on, or even collected from the retailer — they are completely brand new.
They are also currently subject to a many-month wait when ordering from Europe, so this is an opportunity to secure them immediately without waiting for an international order to arrive.
RRP / purchase price: $2,050 each ($4,100 for the pair)
Selling: $1,750 each or $3,400 for the pair
A substantial saving on brand-new stools, with no compromise whatsoever on condition.
