Set of antique English William IV chairs in Brazilian rosewood, circa 1830. The backrests present a curved horizontal top rail above a shaped mid-rail, with turned and carved finials set between the back posts.
Front legs show upturned tulip carving with carved floral rosettes at the front corners, while the rear legs are formed as sabres. The lift-out seats allow straightforward reupholstery. A well-detailed and balanced set suited to dining or occasional seating.
