Elegant antique Rococo revival mirror featuring a hand carved timber frame with scrolling foliate, shell and floral detailing surrounding the original oval mirror plate. The frame retains its aged gilt finish with a lovely timeworn patina throughout. The original glass displays age-related crazing and foxing, adding to the character and authenticity of the piece. There is also a small loss to the carved frame, as photographed. A decorative and highly versatile piece, perfect above a console, chest or fireplace. Wear, losses and surface patina consistent with age and use.
