This is an excellent example of a genuine antique ‘high quality’ English George IV period ( 1830 - 1837 ) bow fronted Chest of Drawers.
The Chest is crafted from quality imported prestigious Mahogany from the Central Americas. The Mahogany is of excellent semi mellowed colour and of excellent figuring. The drawer fronts are decoratively figured and book leaf matched.
The Chest features a desirable Bow Front, a horizontal decorative beaded row horizontally across the top and the bottom of the case plus superbly turned drawer pull knobs. On either side of the draws are vertical panelled and full height engaged pilasters. There are two top side by side drawers and below are three full width graduated drawers and all drawers are solid Oak lined.
The whole is supported on four turned corner positioned ‘acorn’ shaped feet.
