Antique general store advertising wooden tray / drawer 1900's. Rectangular, with handles. Shabby, chippy painted cream-yellow wooden drawer tray / drawer with green hand stencilled writing. Writing on front reads as follows: "The Sunny Side Delicatessen 677 High St Thornbury JW1724." And on the back: "Specialists in roast pork boiled porks fresh small goods." Art Deco stepped handles on both ends. Would have been used in a general store or grocery store as a storage counter top display. Likely handmade and one-of-a-kind, salvaged from crates. Well made with elevated bottom and dovetail joins. Weathered, rustic, country look. Art Deco style. Unbranded and unmarked. Likely handmade in Australia in early 1900's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.


Excellent Antique Condition. Sold in as-found condition. Considerable wear to wood and paint.
