A good and hard to find set of eight, genuine, Antique English, Georgian, 18th century solid Oak rustic country Lancashire Spindle Back chairs with Rush seats, including six side chairs and two larger end carver chairs with arms. These hard to find charming and rustic original English country chairs have probably been assembled over a long period of time so some of the stretchers have turnings which vary slightly which only adds to their character and rustic charm.
Condition: Very good commensurate with age and use.
Size: Height 108 cm x Width 60 cm x Seat Depth 42 cm.
Price : Purchased from the renowned Graham Geddes Antiques in Melbourne back in the early 1980s for $8,500 the set however about 45 years later our vendor offers them for $3,550 less than what he paid 45 years ago so now $4,950 the set of 2 end carver chairs and 6 side chairs..
