Description: An impressive Cutler & Sons twin pedestal roll-top desk, manufactured in Buffalo, New York, and crafted from beautifully figured quarter-sawn American oak. Renowned for their quality and innovative construction, Cutler desks remain highly sought after for both their craftsmanship and practicality.
The desk features the distinctive flexible tambour roll top with its elegant S-curve, or train-track, profile, opening to reveal a fully fitted interior with an array of small drawers, pigeonholes, and compartments for organising correspondence and office essentials. Eight external drawers provide generous storage, making this an exceptionally functional workstation.
The upper internal drawers retain the famous orange ochre Cutler trademarks, while the top two drawers also bear the original Cutler maker's stamp, confirming its authenticity. The desk is supplied with both its original key and a spare key.
The generous knee space provides ample room to accommodate a large office chair, making the desk as comfortable to use as it is impressive in appearance. A fine example of an early twentieth-century Cutler desk that combines quality American craftsmanship with timeless design.
