An 18th Century Chippendale designed mahogany straight front Chest having moulded edge top above 2 short & 3 long cockbeaded drawers with brass back-plate bale handles & flanked by carved fluted classical pillars raised on ogee shaped bracket feet. A unique antique chest of small size constructed in the style made popular in the mid to late 18th century with the publication of Thomas Chippendale's " The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker’s Director 1754". The chest constructed in solid Mahogany. Internal timber appears to be solid Cherry wood.

Chest is in excellent structural condition with drawers operating perfectly. Top is constructed using two Mahogany planks with a slight separation between the planks as shown. Also slight historical separation of side mahogany panel. Later Antique Brass Back-plate bale handles.
