A quality 18th century gate-leg table. Circa 1760-1780. Exceptional colour/finish/patination. In excellent structural condition with no movement to the table frame. One iron hinge has been professionally replace, operates perfectly & non-visible. Quality well figured Oak top over sturdy turned balustrade shaped legs. These tables were constructed using true old growth English oak, unlike later examples from the 19th & 20th century which were constructed using plantation Oaks and have a completely different colour & appearance. Measures: 155cm length open. 120cm across, 72cm height.
