One of the defining chairs of the twentieth century, the Jetson was the result of three years of design work by Bruno Mathsson, unveiled at Stockholm's Nordiska Galleriet in 1969. This example is upholstered in original black leather with distinctive button tufting, and sits on a polished chrome swivel base — complete with the original spring-return mechanism that quietly brings the chair back to centre. The headrest is intact and the leather is in exceptional vintage condition throughout. A rare and significant piece.
