About this piece
Full of character and history, this beautiful vintage Chinese elm console table was sourced during one of our buying trips in Beijing, China. Once part of a traditional Chinese home, the piece has been carefully restored to bring it back to its former glory while preserving the rich patina and timeworn details that make antique furniture so special.
After discovering this piece, we had it professionally repaired and stabilised, ensuring it is ready for many more years of use while still retaining its authentic vintage charm.
Crafted from solid Chinese elm, the table features a beautifully aged timber top with visible grain, traditional joinery, and a sturdy frame that speaks to the quality of craftsmanship found in historic Chinese furniture. As with many of the pieces we source throughout Asia, this console table is one-of-a-kind, carrying the marks, story, and craftsmanship of its past life.
