Large lead‑free crystal vase by Moser in the ‘Splendid’ pattern, introduced by Leo Moser in 1911. The design features an ornate 24‑karat gilt rim above a finely cut crystal body, a pattern realised over time in a variety of forms.
The Splendid pattern has been produced for decades; notably, in 1947 the Czechoslovak president gifted Queen Elizabeth II a selection of Splendid crystal for her wedding. This example retains its original retail label and bears an acid‑etched ‘Moser’ signature to the underside, indicating manufacture post‑1992, when Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic.
Condition: very few signs of wear; no chips or cracks to the crystal; minimal wear to the underside. Proportions suit approximately a dozen roses.
