  This is a first class high end example of a ‘high end’ genuine antique English Victorian period circa 1870s inlaid Walnut serpentine shape Side Table. The top has a ‘lambs tongue profiled edge molding and is highly serpentine in form, is finished in a double ‘book leaf matched patern in honey coloured well figured Walnut burl and then has been profusely inlaid to an extremely high standard with flowers and stylised designs incorporating french ‘C ‘ and ‘S‘ shaped scrolls. There is a shallow recessed complimentary shaped apron with a lower beaded molding.

  The table is supported at either end by well turned, highly profiled and extensively foliate carved decorative embellishments.From the lower cylindrical bases flow short shaped and tapered cabriole legs each with well carved knees and scrolled feet. beneath are the original brass and porcelain caster assemblies.

  Condition: Over all very good for age and use. There are a few blemishes to the top surface which our restorer can professionally rectify and are included in the price.
