English George III secretaire chest of drawers, circa 1800, constructed in imported Central American mahogany with fine figuring and a mellowed colour, raised on straight bracket feet.
The top central pull-out secretaire desk drawer is feature-veneered and fitted with an interior comprising banks of two small stacked drawers to each side. Below sit three full-width graduated drawers.
The secretaire drawer front presents an oval feature panel with string fruitwood inlay. All drawer fronts are line-inlaid and retain their original all-brass pull handles.
