  These are a very high quality, genuine, Antique English, George IV 1820s Set of Four Dining Chairs. The classic design ‘show timber’ frames are hand crafted from prestigious imported Central American Mahogany and are very nicely detailed from the curved and tapered top rail with its rare lower suspended carved ‘S’ scrolled embellishment, the shaped and reeded uprights which flow into the straight but curved side seat rails to the elegantly turned and downward tapered front legs with top short inverted carved Tulips. plus the straight front seat rail has carved panels directly above the front legs. The horizontal gently curved waist rail has well carved opposed Tulips at either end.

  Condition: These fine chairs are in very desirable sound original condition even down to the lift off drop in seat with its original embroided needle work cover. The drop in seats are convenient for maintenance and easy and inexpensive to recover if required.
