About this piece
Antique American Brilliant Period Cut Crystal 12" Round Centrepiece with Pinwheel, Hobstar, and Fan Motif, Sawtooth Rim, Circa 1900.
Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1880–1915), this piece showcases the breathtaking, high-relief hand-cutting that defined American glasswork at its absolute peak.
Crafted on a water-clear, heavy lead crystal blank, the bowl features a deeply cut geometric design. Large, swirling pinwheels radiate light from the centre, beautifully framed by alternating panels of finely crosshatched hobstars, delicate fans, and step-cuts. The dramatic, deeply scalloped sawtooth rim gives this elegant round dish a striking silhouette.
Dimensions: Approximately 12 inches in length (31 cm)
Weight: Notably heavy lead crystal with exceptional clarity and high light refraction.
