A striking example of post-war Czech art glass from the renowned Harrachov glassworks, this “Harrtil” lattice bowl features a finely structured internal net pattern fully encased within thick, crystal-clear glass. The low, rounded form with applied handle balances sculptural presence with functional elegance, while the suspended geometric grid creates depth and subtle optical movement as light passes through the bowl.
Founded in 1712, Harrachov is celebrated for its experimental modernist glass of the late 20th century. The Harrtil net technique, developed during the 1960s–1970s, involves encasing a delicate glass lattice within layers of clear crystal, a technically demanding process that became a defining visual language of the glassworks’ art glass production.
