About this piece
A handsome country kitchen dresser in warm honey-toned wood, with the kind of mellow patina that only comes with age and use.
The upper plate rack has three open shelves against a tongue-and-groove boarded back, topped with a deep moulded cornice and flanked by gracefully scrolled side brackets. The base offers two drawers with original pressed-metal Art Nouveau handles, above a pair of panelled cupboard doors with a turned timber knob and central batten. It stands on square legs.
Original finish throughout, with light scuffing and honest wear to the work surface, entirely in keeping with a piece of this age and character. Structurally sound and ready to use.
Ideal in a kitchen, dining room, or hallway. Would suit a farmhouse, cottage, or country interior, and works equally well as a display piece for ceramics, glassware, or books.
