C.H. Meylan Brassus manual-wind wristwatch in 18 karat yellow gold, reference 624, circa 1950s. The 33 mm round case presents brushed bullhorn lugs and houses a Swiss 17‑jewel movement with three hands and a small seconds sub-dial.
Founded by Charles‑Henri Meylan in Le Brassus, Switzerland, in 1878, C.H. Meylan Brassus maintained a presence among high‑end watchmakers, collaborating with Cartier, Piguet, LeCoultre, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels, and supplying movements to at least 110 jewellers and watchmakers. Following Charles Meylan’s death, the company passed to Baume et Mercier, then to Piaget, and later to Cartier. A distant relative, Georges‑Henri Meylan, subsequently brought the C.H. Meylan brand back into the family, integrating it within H. Moser & Cie and Audemars Piguet.
