Andreas Pedersen teak writing desk

A rare Andreas Pedersen teak desk from the 1960s, produced by AP Møbler, this freestanding Danish modern piece captures the essence of mid‑century Scandinavian design. Crafted in solid and veneered teak, the desk showcases the warm grain, sculptural lines, and refined proportions that define Pedersen’s most sought‑after executive furniture.

Designed for both function and presence, the front features six spacious drawers with the signature AP Møbler teak pulls — a detail often associated with the brand’s celebrated executive desks. The fully finished back includes open storage compartments, allowing the desk to sit elegantly in the centre of a room.

Pedersen’s workshop, known for producing durable, beautifully engineered furniture, became recognised for its clean lines, tapered legs, and meticulous joinery. Pieces from AP Møbler are increasingly sought after in today’s market, especially larger Danish modern desks that combine workspace practicality with sculptural presence.

With generous dimensions — 150 cm (L) × 76 cm (D) × 72.5 cm (H) — this desk offers a substantial work surface ideal for home offices, studios, or design‑led interiors. Its solid teak construction ensures longevity, while its minimalist silhouette aligns seamlessly with contemporary Scandinavian styling.

A standout example of mid‑century Danish craftsmanship, this Andreas Pedersen desk is both a functional workspace and a collector‑worthy design object — a timeless anchor for any interior that values authenticity, material warmth, and architectural clarity.
