Three original Grant Featherston Numero IV high-back lounge chairs, designed in the 1970s and manufactured in Australia by Aristoc.
All three have been recently reupholstered and are in excellent condition. The upholstery is a beautiful soft grey textured fabric which works particularly well with the sculptural form of these chairs.
The Numero IV is one of Featherston’s most distinctive Australian modernist designs, with its wonderfully enveloping high back, integrated arms and low, generous proportions.
These are a matching set of three, which is increasingly difficult to find, particularly in this condition.
Please note that the darker areas visible in some photographs are simply shadows and variations in the direction of the fabric pile - there are no stains or discolourations.
I would strongly prefer to sell the three together.
