About this piece
Mid-19th century French preserve pan in copper and brass, handcrafted for intensive kitchen use. The capacious, open bowl is designed for large-batch jam, jelly, and confectionery making, while robust twin handles provide a secure grip during extended cooking over open flame.
Burnished by decades of use, the aged patina reveals the metal’s character and reflects French artisanal metalwork of the period. Suitable for active stovetop work or display, the piece bridges culinary heritage and contemporary collecting.
