About this piece
Turquoise drip glaze, a pinched spout and a squared strap handle give this 1970s Italian pottery jug vase its presence, with the colour deepening to navy in the band of relief around its body.
The slim neck is stamped with small motifs, and the almond shaped relief panels below catch the glaze where it pools, so the jug reads light and dark at once. Marked Italy on the base. The colour recalls Bitossi's Rimini Blu, but the maker is not recorded.
In very good condition. Dimensions: 36 cm H x 28 cm W.
Wash by hand in warm water with a little mild soap and dry with a soft cloth.
