This is a good and genuine, Antique French, later 19th century, Regulator Clock with a compressed mercury pendulum. Standing upon four scrolled feet, the Bronze case has a strong Louis XV influence crossed with a little Art Noveau from the time the clock was made and has four beveled glass panels. The enameled face is further floral and foliate embellished.
This clock mechanism has been fully professionally serviced and the clock is offered complete with key.
The Gilt finish has been worn thin over time due to cleaning and the case now has a lovely ‘aged ‘look however if one may prefer we can have the clock re hand gilded by professionals in genuine gold leaf ( real gold) so that it has a brighter look as it would have had when new. For professional re gilding if required allow up to $500.
