The Ralph Lauren Safari Bed (most famously known as the "Westminster" Bed from the Ralph Lauren Home Safari Collection) is an iconic, highly coveted piece of luxury furniture. Originally introduced in the 1980s as part of Ralph Lauren's groundbreaking entry into home furnishings, this bed anchors a British Colonial, global-explorer aesthetic.
Because the original furniture line is discontinued, it has become a prized collector's item on the vintage market.

His safari collection is a stand out in terms of carved Colonial style classic furniture. This same bed was featured in Jacqueline Kennedy's bedroom in the recent TV series about JFK. It has also appeared in Outlander. This bed has a matching chest and side tables for a full bedroom suite. Comes as headboard, four poles and the surrounding base of three pieces that connects it together. There is a chip on the inside of one of these bases that is not obvious as the mattress covers it. Note this is American King so bigger than Australian King. A statement bed for those that want to showcase their bedroom.

Mattress Fit: Despite the massive outer frame footprint, the interior rails are built to standard North American sizing, meaning an Australian King mattress (183 cm x 203 cm) or Queen mattress (152 cm x 203 cm) will leave small gaps or require a custom base/bunkie board to sit perfectly.
