English mid‑Victorian set of six dining chairs, circa 1850, with show timber frames in imported Central American mahogany. The top rail and waist rail are embellished with carved detailing in the French Louis XV manner. Seat rails are curved to the sides with a serpentine front rail. Front legs are turned, shaped and tapered; rear legs are of sabre form.
Condition: Professionally restored by the previous owner at considerable expense; now presenting in very good condition.
