A Gouge-Carved Oak Cabinet on Stand, in the Manner of Jean Touret for Atelier Marolles, French, circa 1950s
The rectangular plank top above a pair of doors, each with a raised fielded panel, the whole surface of the doors, stiles and sides worked with the gouge in an overall faceted texture, fitted with wrought-iron strap hinges and iron loop handles, of pegged construction; raised on trestle legs with wedged through-tenons, joined by a plank undertier.
