Details

These unique and rare heritage light fittingsbare a set of Four electric Wall Brackets removed from the Sydney Town Hall back in the late 1960s or early 1970s. They have had some slight modifications in the mid 1980s as the Waratah and some arms were deficient. We also have several other ‘missing’ light fittings out of the Sydney Town Hall so Waratahs can be cast from one of those. We also have sets of four original cased glass circular white shades. These fittings are an extremely rare find are unique and have significant historical provenance as the Sydney Town Hall was the first Public Building in New South Wales to be electrified in 1888. Condition: Two are excellent and the two that had been on a corner building in Glebe are very good. We have the four shades for each of these fittings. Size: Height 66cm x Width 32cm Fitting size only - with shades would be much larger.
