Set of six crystal tumblers by Czech glassmaker Moser, crafted in lead‑free crystal to the 'Splendid' pattern introduced by Leo Moser in 1911. Each glass features an ornate 24‑karat gilt band above a finely cut crystal body, a design produced in multiple shapes and sizes across the pattern’s history.
The Splendid pattern has a documented presence in formal settings; notably, the Czechoslovak president gifted Queen Elizabeth II a selection of Splendid crystal in 1947. For this set, surviving original retail stickers together with the style of the acid‑etched signatures indicate manufacture circa 1992, just prior to the transition from Czechoslovakia to the Czech Republic.
Condition: Near immaculate, with no chips or cracks and only minor wear to the undersides consistent with age and use. One of the six glasses was not acid‑etched with the Moser signature; it retains an original retail sticker and was likely missed during production.
Markings: 'Moser' acid‑etched to the underside (five glasses); three original retail stickers present across the set.
