Demilune buffet designed by Josef Hoffmann and executed by J & J Kohn, Austria, circa 1905, produced for retail in Paris. Crafted in mahogany and burl wood, the composition combines a demilune lower cabinet with a marble-topped work surface and an upper three-door glass-fronted cabinet.
The top cabinet retains its original pressed glass panels. Inside one of the upper cupboards is a retailing plaque marked 'JJ Kohn 109 Rue Du Faubourg Saint Antoine Paris', confirming manufacture for the Paris market.
Provenance includes Sotheby's Monaco, "Arts Décoratifs du XXe Siècle", 19 October 1986, lot 266 (FR 22200). A Sotheby's New York sticker is also present to the interior, indicating it has previously passed through the New York firm. A representative example of Hoffmann's work.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. Minor scuffs and wear commensurate with age and use.
