An exceptionally decorative Burmese Kalaga tapestry featuring an intricately worked royal procession of elephants, horses, riders and attendants. Executed on a rich black ground with elaborate gold and metallic embroidery, padded appliqué, beadwork and sequin detailing. The central ceremonial scene is surrounded by a striking border of individually framed elephants. A highly detailed statement textile with wonderful depth, texture and craftsmanship, ideal as a substantial wall hanging or feature artwork.
