Design Story
Founded in 1907 near Hanover, Wilkhahn began as a traditional furniture manufacturer before evolving into a pioneer of contemporary workplace design. Wilkhahn became especially influential through its focus on ergonomics and dynamic sitting. This approach led to innovations like the Wilkhahn ON Chair, whose three dimensional movement system helped redefine modern ergonomic seating.
