A genuine and quality Antique English Regency 1810 - 1820 Dining Table / Breakfast and Supper Table with a desirable one piece ‘tilt top’ of rectangular shape in superbly figured now faded prestigious Central American Mahogany. It has a line inlay in Ebony to commemorate the passing of George III. The whole upon a well turned central column with a boldly reeded centre section. The four compass point legs have shaped knees and the downward and outward swept legs are reeded in a complimentary manner. to the column. The feet are not of the usual brass sabot and castor assembly but are slightly stylised carved Lion Paw feet.
This example is in superb original condition and only requires basic conservation work to correct a minor warp in the top. Furniture in original condition of this age generally require conservation work, rather like tuning up a vintage car.
