Offered is a rare, high-quality, substantial sized antique Dutch 19th century mid-1800s Cabinet on Chest in the Dutch Rococo style. Crafted from durable European solid oak, it features a decorative honey-colored walnut burl finish, Ebony moldings, carvings of flowers, ribbons, swags, and classic urns, complemented by its original French-polished surface and original cast bronze brass hardware, including keyhole escutcheons and drawer pull handles and locks.The cabinet, designed for easy transport, splits into two parts with removable doors, drawers, and shelves. The top section showcases a domed top with a carved urn crest, serpentine front doors with carved motifs, and an interior with shelves and drawers. The lower section is a a bombe-shaped chest of drawers ( Commode ) includes four full width graduated and stacked oak-lined serpentine shaped drawers with ornate bronze/brass handles and original locks. The whole stands on large carved animal paw feet, with an option for gilded hardware. Condition: Minor conservation needed, included in the price, with an option to purchase at a lower price as is if required. Height 275cm x Width 190cm x Depth 75cm.
